Just come in and a car has been flashing it's lights and honking it's horn behind me as I was doing just under 40 on a 40mph speed area.
Suddenly the car overtook and I thought it was rather amusing when the speed camara flashed it in front of me.

"Camara's" should be spelt 'cameras' and no apostrophe is needed.
"It's" as written would be read as "It is" (so again, no apostrophe is needed).
As there was no question here I assume you were looking for spelling/grammar help ;-)
I was done for doing just over 40mph in a 40 mph zone so now watch the speed signs very carefully and stick to the speed limit.

But you do get selfish idiots behind you who drive right up your backside and then zoom past you the moment they get the chance.

Then when you come to the next set of traffic lights you find they are waiting there and all the speeding got them nowhere.

I bet you felt great when the idiot got "flashed" by a camera.
I laughed on Thursday evening when a woman in traffic next to me dove right past a ANPR check site doing her makeup in the the sun visor mirror

5 marked police cars and a ANPR van in a lay-by and she was so concerned with putting on her lipstick she didn't see them..... they did see her though :)
One of the 'road deaths' that contributed to a speed camera being erected near me was that of a gentleman trying to remove the earthing strap from an electricity substation to sell as scrap. Rather stupidly he unbolted it from the floor first, meaning it became live with 11,000 volts. That blew him into the road where he was run over by a lorry. The lorry driver was not speeding.
We often wish the idiots would get caught by a camera and its satisfying to hear that they do granger99.
Someone has to say it spikeybush, that's a shocking story
Not exactly a bright spark was he?
Although on second thoughts........"..
It's flawed, Maidup. I could buy a second-hand car, fill out the papers in the name of Mr. Blobby of Crinkly Bottom and then drive through town at a thousand miles an hour in my Saxo and disappear, and there's naff all that can be done if I dump and burn the car before Plod catches up.

Not that you'd ever find me in these circumstances of course. It's hypothetical. I'd never buy a Citroen.

That happens quite often here in zim spikes. Not the run over by a truck but the thieves often fry themselves to a crisp stealing copper cables , oil from substation generators etc.
Serves them right. I bet it was something like a BMW or 4x4 and you were in something small like a Honda Jazz
;)
not long ago i was driving on motorway doing speed limit when this Aston martin came zooming up behind me , overtook me but what he hadnt seen was the police camera on the bridge over the motorway. that really made me laugh as he would definately have been going far too fast!

Hi factor30

Oddly enough I was driving a BMW. Not all BMW drivers are stupid.
I am thinking of getting something smaller next year as I am now a poor pensioner.
i get on the M6 at the tickled trout and there is an offside filter lane which i always think is daft, but some eejit came round from the lights on my right and only just got past me before his filter lane vanished, i had to swerve into the slip road from the A59 on my left or else he'd have hit me, prat, pointless anyway cos the m6 was slow and he didn;t get onto it more than a second before me lol
You always make me smile. I thought you usually drove a Honda Jazz but perhaps you were too modest to say previously it was a BMW
;)
Sorry dotty.-my post was for the OP not you.
They've turned all the speed cameras off in Northampton.
