Good idea for them as it's not currently recommended that you repair run-on-flat tyres and I'm sure they'll cost quite a lot more. Also Goodyear recommend an on board tyre pressure monitorring system otherwise you don't know when you've had a puncture.

I'm sure they'd be less vulnerable to police stingers but as they're only rated to about 50mph I dare say they'd fail reasonable quickly in a typical pursuit.
