Could you please tell me how safe it will be for me to travel from Aberdeen to Edinburgh this weekend by car and what would be my best route to take

Depends on who is doing the driving as to how safe it will be!!!

A90/M90/A90 all the way. Should be very little HGV traffic, but look out for weekend motorists! Safe as anywhere else. DLTBGTY.
