insurance claim
i just don't know if this has been answered, pls bear with me.
had my rover 600 p reg rear ended.the guy admitted his fault. got his details and had my insurance co contacted the other person but haven't given his insurance details yet.they had mentioned the 200 excess claim, which i am going to pay? how is this?
the guy admitted the fault but my insurance co has written me that my claim might affect my No Claims Discount. is this possible? how does this thing work? and if my car gets written off, they will have to deduct that 200 excess.i'm confused...
thanks a lot...

In the meantime, your insurance company is just warning you that until everything is done and dusted, you may lose them. I wouldn't worry about it.
Remember it's a no-claims discount, not a no-blame one.
If your car is written off your payment will be reduced by the 200, which you should claim back from the other party.
You will eventually get things sorted out with the other party's insurance, get your money back and your no-claims bonus may be restored but it will take time.
