Are There Any Ugly Cars Any More?

I can't think of a better time to be in the market for a new car. Golf, Focus, Astra, they are all stunning to look at. Even the Koreans are on the bandwagon. Not so long ago it seemed that all Korean manufacturers were running a competition amongst themselves to award the designer of the ugliest car in the world. The Daewoo Takuma immediately springs to mind. But I saw for the first time today the new Kia Picanto. My God what a fantasic looker hat car is.

Agree methyl, mines bad, the Multipla is worse! What's with the "eyebrows" under the windscreen and extra set of lights? UGLY!

I have a corsa. while I don't think it's ugly it's not pretty either. I owned a rover ZXR yellow and beautiful. I bought it new just as rover went out of business, My guarantee was now invalid. I had many problems with this car. I spent £2,000 trying to put it right. I gave up in the end and traded it in for the corsa. Had the corsa now for approaching 5 years, not beautiful but reliable. Touch wood it's never let me down.

I think all modern cars are ugly.
If I had to choose, it would be a Mazda, but I don't like the shapes.
The "newest" car to be made to my tastes was the Nissan Figaro.
Give me a Morris, a Triumph, an or Volkswagen any day of the week.

Oh I have one of the box shapes Micras. The old style ones. It's pretty cute but I wish it's headlights were round.

If you like it Jeza, it's a good car, I've had Rovers in the past, some good, some not. I'm on my second Focus, treated myself to a new one last year and it's "wicked". Looks and performance.

The Smart car is not very smart to look at: if you have one for eavh foot, you've got yourself a pair of motorised roller skates. Or, put two end on end, you have a skateboard.

Sorry to correct you on one point, Methyl...

Rolls Royce wanted nothing to do with the Thunderbirds movie (And who can blame them). FAB 1 in the Movie is a Ford THUNDERBIRD. I saw it featured on Top Gear before the film came out. It kind of made sense at the time, but it's not a looker.
