I voted no, is there a particular reason for asking?
I voted no as well, but wondered if you had a specific licence group in mind?
I voted raised to 18 and I would add a proviso of limiting a new driver to 50 mph for the first 12 months (60 on motorways in mainland UK) as they used to in Northern Ireland(don't know if that is still the case there).
Might be an idea to raise the minimum age of a practical test to 18

So you can drive under supervision from 17 but not on your own until 18
It should be raised to 55 to stop you boy & girl racers charging along at incredible speeds of 45 and more ! And flashing at the rest of us to get out of your way in the right hand lane !
Almost with you there, og! I've said raise it, as i think teenagers naturally show off/ are invincible/ drive lots of mates around who can't drive yet. And that, along with inexperience, can be lethal.
Age mean's experience, experience comes with Knowledge, we have all been there but I think some youngsters never ever learn until they have killed themselves or other people, every week in our local paper someone that someone knows has been killed by a Tear @rse.

Make's you weep, doesn't it?
TWR, did you start driving at 17? Have you killed anyone?

I imagine most of the people voting yes are in their 30s+ (cheaper insurance) and are just narked at getting older and poorer and seeing these youngsters cruising around the towns (as I did at 17 etc) gets the jealousy receptors going.
It's the same with HGV Drivers Baldric, pass on an unloaded artic on Frid, start working with a Cowboy Company on Mon driving a 44 ton Truck. hows that's for safety?
If you have had friends lose their son/ daughter Oct, you would come out with state's like that, I consider myself a safe driver, I have no need to tear @rse like some of the youngsters with no experience, you'r not one of them are you?
How about another poll, ed, about the maximum age for driving?
175 obviously

Seriously? Jealous of some spotty chav in a Vauxhall Nova with a big exhaust extension driving back and to past McDonald's, thinking he looks the dogs danglies and can drive like Stirling Moss, when reality and insurance figures/A&E stats tell us otherwise?

Stirling Moss eh!
Now there's a blast from the past!
I did muse with replacing Moss with Hamilton, Baldric, as the acne-challenged demography I mentioned have doubtless never heard of Stirling or may mistake his name for a new fashion brand or similar.
Thanks Chilldoubt, that goes some way to explaining the reason for the pole. By virtue of that research - why not raise it to 25 rather than your proposed 18 ?
My proposed 18 has the added caveat of not being allowed to drive above 50 mph, giving the young driver a year to familiarise themselves with driving but also driving with restraint.
Your suggestion of 25 is obviously far too draconian, but you knew that before you even posted it.
