You've clearly made up your mind to get one, despite the fact that, so far, there's no-one on here suggested that it's a good idea. I wonder where you've been driving since the age of 14 - it's not legal to drive on British roads until you're 17 and "driving" isn't just about making a car go, it's about learning how to avoid the millions of idiots driving around on our roads. Feel free to buy the car but please let us all know which insurance company you choose so hat we can all make sure we're not with the same one.
I wouldn't spend too much on a first car, as you are bound to treat it to a few bumps and scrapes.
Please do not forget that this young gentleman is on a salary of 30k per month and has been driving since the age of 14, so is worthy of our respect.
Blackadder - you don't think he's the Stig, do you?
How much money people earn doesn't reflect how they drive. Do pay out for an advanced course though Tad. We used to use ROSPA at work to coach our drivers, http://www.rospa.com/drivertraining/advanceddrivingandriding/

I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole, very high maintenance car and also very heavy on petrol and the use a lot of oil.

Ok, i'll try to avoid Frankfurt ;), i know this seller who has a custom car that carries a custom fuel tank/engine that reduces the cost of fuel. I already have a license

If you can afford it and can afford the insurance (which i'm sure you can given your income and, I assume, significant savings as you have no conspicuous expenditure) then you might as well get one now or you'll always wonder what you've missed.
Your parents mat start to guess though that you do have a significant source of income. You also need to make sure that no unforeseen tax bills will come in as your income should put you well into the 45% tax bracket.
You may already have a licence but have you passed your test?
" i just wanted onions from more experienced drivers."

Well I think tonyav and TWR know their onions when it comes to cars.

Have you placed an order yet?

I reckon Tad's a Girl, I mean no self-respecting Bloke would want to drive or be seen in a Rx8!
LOL ^^^^^
Ought to be best answer.

You in La Storta Tad?
