My wife has received DVLA Form V11 reminding her to tax her vehicle on it's 1st year anniversary of registration. Her vehicle is a Skoda Fabia Greenline which is tax exempt. What is the DVLA requesting her to do? The vehicle is obviously not required to have an MOT and the DVLA know it is insured via their data bank.
She is inclined to ignore the letter and bin it but is their some obligation required of driver/owners such as herself.
Advice appreciated as B.A. advice given on V11 in these circumstances particularly as tax discs are no longer required to be displayed or issued.
I would not " Bin the letter Retro" just fill in the required form as need be & send it back, Otherwise there may be a prosecution, be on the safe side.

That joke about the sniper didn't refer to you did it? (Joke section last night) :-)
Thanks again one and all. Just done it on line and received a "success confirmation" by e-mail which I have given to wife to file and NOT in the Filing Bin either.
Sorry if this sounds pedantic...but the car in question is not "tax exempt", but "zero-rated". There is a difference, even though the result for you is the same...no payment required!
