Lost Car Keys

Just spent 3 extremely fraught days looking for my car key. I had the one that opened the car manually but couldn't find the one that opened it remotely. GranddadG eventually found the on top or the large freezer well out of eyeshot.

I have been so stressed and not slept imagining the car stolen at any time.Bit worried as I am losing lots of things - only to-find them later in strange places - but thats by the by.

What I wanted to ask is what could I have done if the keys hadn't turned up?

Phew glad I found them then - as much for my peace of mind as the cost
