my daughters fiesta is reving high most of the time a bit dangerous as car runs away with her not doing the clutch any good slipping it to slow down cananybody help please

It actually sounds the the clutch is not engaging. Try and change gear without the ckutch using revs and a bit of force. If this can't be done at all, then it is the clutch.

thanks for the prompt reply Ward maybe i havent put the fault clearly the car revs high all the time ie 2000 rpm cant slow it down which is why she has to slip the clutch to slow dow in slow traffic

Sounds as if the fuel injection control needs re-calibrating. I had this model before my present car and I seem to remember there is no slow running adjustment like there used to be on the old carburettors. Probably need to call in one of the tuning experts.

thanks cleebaubi sounds it could be something like that as the car has stopped reving and now ticks over very low ie 600 rpm and stalls will get it checked
