is this person really home secretary material with such a slim grasp of her specialist subject? or is it just racist to even suggest otherwise?

Vote Labour, get Abbott, you have been warned!
//Diane Abbott Crashes Again?//
were her lips moving?
This exemplifies, at probably the worst extreme, why people have lost faith in politicians.
She is the gift that just keeps on giving.

If the Harris report concerned itself with something that doesn't come within the brief of the Home Office, and therefore its shadow, she could be forgiven for not knowing its content.

It was quite apparent she hadn't been arsed to read the report, which given the report deals with a subject matter entirely in her purview is an absolute disgrace.

This woman is a political and intellectual pygmy who is doing her party no favours, which is great as far as I am concerned, but I'm surprised she has not been banned from speaking to the media.

The woman is a buffoon.

If most people on this thread generally agree that Abbott is incompetent, don't forget that according to Paul Mason we are all racists. Our criticism has nothing to do with the fact that she has been promoted beyond her very meagre abilities, and everything to do with the fact she is black.

It genuinely concerns me that this idiot of a woman could be the Home Secretary come Friday.
Labour just might double their votes if Corbyn sacks her today, Not gona happen though.....
I do wonder if ms. Abbott is " unwell " ?
I know what you mean anne..... she's quite bizarre
I don't follow politics much but any time I have seen Diane Abbott she does come across as being "unwell" as you say Anna - she is trying to do a job that she is unable to do.
She is perfectly well, just doing a job far in advance of her capabilities.

This is not actually uncommon. Many people do a good job and are promoted until they go past the point of their competence. The problem is they are rarely demoted back to a level of competence where they could do a good job and remove the stress on themselves.
Ymg. You know she is perfectly well ?
Ugh. Stupid woman.

She's an embarrassment.
What makes you think she's unwell?
If she was "unwell" she wouldn't have the wherewithal to sociopathically lie about it every time she screws up an interview. She knows full well what she's doing.

Like ymb said, she's out of her depth.
That she could be Home Secretary in a few days is unthinkable.
Ummmm. Despite having disastrous interviews which she has actually seen , she returns for more, she appears not to be aware she is making a fool of herself, numbers and remembering " things" seem to be a big problem.
So perhaps we should be pointing the finger at JC for putting an unwell person in such a potentially powerful post?
Normally you would say she has delusions of grandeur but Jeremy Corbyn wants to prove that she doesn't have delusions of grandeur and make her one of the most important women in our country.

Is Jeremy Corbyn ill?

Anne...I think you may be right....she is displaying all the characteristics of not being totally in control of herself.

But she is not going to be Home Sec in a few days times, as labour is unlikely to win the Election at this point.
She is not ill ... she is thick.
Ymg. You didn't answer my question. How do you know she is perfectly well? Do you have a link ?
