You should have a reminder like I did, then just go and do it online if you have a passport that is current. They can then use your passport photo for the licence.

Despite the 'manchester' in the questioner's username, I think that he might actually be in Ireland. (That's simply because the vast majority of crossword questions he's posted over the years relate to Irish publications). If so, he probably gets an automatic four month extension on his licence anyway:
