Can anyone recommend a decent car windscreen cleaner please? I had a blue bottle of Halfords glass cleaner and it was really good. I used it indoors as well. They replaced this with a green bottle and it's useless. Leaves the windscreen and windows covered in smears. I see they have changed the bottle yet again - it's now grey but I`m not sure if it's the same formula as the last one.

IMO the best glass/mirror cleaner is Nilglass...house or car, inside and outside, mirrors etc. Lots of professionals use it too. Use it with a clean, decent quality microfibre cloth for really excellent results.

Just leave an off cut of meat about the place, you'll soon get your blue bottle back.

Try asda car windscreen wash. It's pretty good
Just stick to good, old-fashioned cleaning products. Here's what I use and, at 29p per bottle, it ain't gonna cost you much to try it either!

I second what Buen says.
Particularly if the screen is chipped. :-P
Oh peas, Douglas!
Soap, water, a decent small squeegee (preferably without sharp metal edges) such as those advertised to clean showers.

Thanks for the recommendations. I think I`ll go with the Nilglass as I can get that in Lakeland today.
