Thanks to all of you who wished me well with my appeal.

Just to update - my appeal was turned down on the grounds that no parking whatsoever is allowed on double yellows, and my mitigation does not cut it.

Fair enough, I paid on receipt of the verdict, lesson learned.

In case anyone is interested, I've just received a reply about our appeal of a parking ticket and it is good news.

Basically they have given us a telling off and told us we won't get away with it if it happens again.

Lesson learned. It definitely won't happen again.

Thanks Retro. I truly thought the chances of getting it cancelled were miniscule.
