Mondeo speedo cable

Can anyone help me? I have an "L" reg mondeo and the speedo cable went, I took one of an "N" reg and fitted it to the gearbox but the other end (into the speedo is different) I spoke to our local ford dealer and he said they had changed the cable and showed me on his ford computer. He told me that if I took the plastic connector off the back of the speedo this cable would slot in. The big problem is can you do it without removing the dashboard? cheers astondog

I would think you would need to take off the dashboard I drive a mondeo (m reg) and there does not seem to be enough room and not only that it seems to be a very awkward job

Cheers bob57 that's the problem I found but it is messy taking the dash out
