i hate electrical problems.....

firstly, check the plug went back on the alternator cleanly. that youve got a good solid connection.

make sure the drive belt is in a good condition and to the right tension.

only alternatives after that, is that you got a bad battery or alternator..

they may well be new, dont mean they are 100% perfect !!!

take the car back to the place you got the spares from and ask them to check them.. (leave them on the car)

This happened on my Escort and it was the altenator. I know you say you have had a new altenator but have had two Bosch remanufactured units. The first lasted 11.5 months, that was replaced under warranty and the replacement lasted 3 months. needless to say I bought a Delco unit this time and it's still ok after 4 months. I would avoid the Bosch units as their diode rectifier packs are sh1t.
