They also do breakdown cover (see the website) but I don't use it because I've been with Autonational Rescue for years. They charge me 63p.a. for the full package of roadside assistance, home recovery, overnight accommodation, etc. I've called them out on several occasions over the years and alway received prompt attention and efficient service. (Basic cover starts at 30p.a.):

I've never had any luck with confused.com. Try www.tesco.co.uk.
They do optional breakdown cover. I've never had a cheaper quote from anyone else when I renew my insurance.
If you use confused.com use a spam email address - I didn't get a single useful quote of them but I did get an extraordinary amount of spam shortly after using that site
The best quote I found for the last couple of years has been from Direct Line & it includes breakdown cover with the excellent Green-Flag (I think they own them so whether you get a better deal like that I'm not sure).
But if you want to save money its wise to be prepared to invest a bit of time searching for quotes each year - my wife has just got a quote from the National Farmers Union of all people which beats Direct Line hands down (not sure if they have an option for breakdown cover as she's already covered by mine)
from personal experience I would stay away from Direct Line. Myself and other people I know have had bad experiences with them, especially when it comes to vehcile repairs.
Best insurers I have used is Admiral, and now more recently as I am using my other halfs focus is Churchill. Both of which give you breakdown cover. Churchills used to offer 1yrs free breakdown, n ot sure if they still are.
