Poor running car
I have a ford KA 1.3i that recently began cutting out when i stopped at junctions and at lights. I thought it needed a service as i don't think it has had one since it was new and the mileage is quite high for it's age. I bought some new plugs, leads and air filter and fitted them myself. Since I have done this it no longer cuts out when i stop but it has developed what i think is a miss fire. I have wondered if there actually maybe a problem with the injectors or the distributor, anybody have any ideas??

Then try removing/replacing the spark plug leads one by one with the engine running using insulated pliers or something to hold it, when you remove one you should notice the engine misfire and sound different, this should happen with each plug lead, if one makes no difference then that is the one causing the problem.
