Is it okay to get wheel alignment done with worn suspension bush?

I can' get the suspension sorted for another week but would like to get the tracking and balancing done immeadiately. I don't want to have to do it again after the suspension is fixed.

Depends on which bush it is really - can you elaborate ? Yes, you can get it done and depending on the bush, part of the replacement process may involve realignment anyway.

If not, you'll just have to get it realigned afterwards if it's a bush that affects the geometry.

Im not sure to be honest. There is a knocking at low speed from the front near side when going over bumps.

kwik fit told me I need the bush replaced but they don't do them.

You can get the wheel balance done but leave the tracking until you have had the suspension done, don't waste your money because it will have to be done after the suspension is done.

you don't say what the car is or how old but if it is clunking over bumps it is probably the anti-roll bar bushes. An easy job to change and will not affect the wheel alignment.

If it knocks when going around corners but not when you go over speed humps then it is probably the anti-roll bar bushes, but anyway it makes no sense to get the suspension adjusted until the problems are fixed first.

Sorry its a 98 fiesta, don't think it has an anti-roll bar. I will sort the suspension first, thanks.

The joints and sockets in the suspension and steering linkage all have a little ... Most rear-wheel drive cars and trucks have alignment specifications that call ... This may occur if the tie rod ends are worn, or if the control arm bushings have collapsed.
