my car is a peugeot 306 and I have had it 3 weeks. for the first two weeks it was cutting out just as I set off for work and i would have to restart, which was worrying as it would happen at junctions for the first half mile. it is automatic. Anyway, i accidentally put the Super unleaded in it last Tuesday and it has stopped doing it. is this a coincidence? has it self healed or is the fuel working better in it?

I would think it is just a coincidence, as your car should run equaly well on either.

I don't know of the circumstances of you just buying the car but perhaps if it had been stood for some time without being used you have cleared any faults caused by this.

maybe just some bad fuel which has now worked its way thru - the super unleaded may have helped a bit
clould have cleaned it out. if it happens again try some fuel cleaner in it, normally sorts them little annoying problems
