Will getting 3 points for speeding on my licence affect my insurance?

Very little effect for 1 fixed penalty but when you get the next one , 2 together starts to hurt.

on average your insurance will go up approx �30 {annually} But can be higher depending on what speed you were doing, insurance companies vary

I think it depends on the insurance company. It didnt affect my friends insurance at all when she got three points for going through a red light

Very little, whereas hoping to get away without telling your insurance company could cost you dearly. If you need to make a claim and they find out you ommitted to tell them it will invalidate your policy and you'll get nothing. Try shopping around for quotes and you'll be as pleasantly surprised as anyone can be when paying for insurance.

I have to agree with KRUSTY. A short time ago I made an insurance claim and they demanded a photocopy of my driving licence. I was OK and they paid out in full, but if there were points that I hadn't told them about, I'm sure they would have refused the claim.

Not only will it cause you prolems with your claim, but it can potentially render you iable to prosecution for having no insurance. Insurance companies will invalidate a policy if they discover that material facts have not been disclosed to them.

Yep - the company I work for make all claimants complete mandates to be faxed to the DVLA - we no longer accept photocopied licences due to the amount of idiots who photocopy doctored photocopies!!

Soon, insurance companies will be able to access licence details on-line with the DVLA - no-oine is safe mwah ah aha ha ha
