hah, driving home tonight, stopped with engine ticking over for about 2 mins and the above flashed up and engine cut off and wouldnt come on again for about 15 mins. Any ideas chaps and chapessess.... help dont want a huge mechanics bill..oh its a v reg vw golf v5 2.3 litre

vw is a german car! in germany they have a law about cars having to be switched off when stationary after a certain length of time, as you had your car engine running for 2 minutes, so unecsasarily polluting the atmosphere it decided to teach you a lesson!
