Hi, Anybody know if buses that are not in use i.e are not picking up passengers, are allowed to use roads? I always thought that buses finish there route at the station. If this is not the case doesnt there presence add to traffic congestion causing more strain and tension. So are busses that are not on service allowed to use roads?
If they're taxed, insured, and MoT'd then they have every right to be on the road at any time.....the same as any other vehicle. BTW......buses need an MoT EVERY year from new unlike cars and therefore should be amongst the safest vehicles [mechanically] on the roads.
If you caught a bus that had been repaired or serviced, wouldn't you be happier if the mechanic had taken it for a road test before putting it back in service?
