Hi... Can someone explain what the lines are for after a speed camera? Especially when the camera is facing the on coming car and the lines are to the back on the camera? Are they sensors?

The lines give measurement points within the frame of the two photos (one taken after the other) to prove the distance travelled between the two photos and thus the speed ...QED. There are usually 2 sets as most cameras can be swung round to face the other way and get the traffic on the other side of the road.
Yeah, so basically, If the camera is facing you and the lines are after the camera, it's getting people on the other side of the road
I think they are actually there simply to prove photographically that you were doing the speed they said you were. The camera itself knows how fast you were going and takes the picutre regardless but I think in the early days people challenged in court the notion that a single photo proved you were doing Xmph. For example it could be that 2 cars were passing the camera one over the limit and one under, these lines would show which car was speeding.
