I was stopped for having some plasterers angle beads sticking out the window of my car police said it was a dangerous load ,gave me a ticket and a �60 fine and 3 points.What difference will it have on my next insurance quote

usually not a lot of difference,but you must tell them,if you dont and you have a accident and they find out ,they will refuse to pay out.
It depends who you're insured with. Churchill didn't make a fuss until the renewal premium came though - they said 'I'd gone into a higher risk category' and put it up by �200. I switched to another company who said that having points on your licence is so common that they don't make an issue out of it. Good luck !

If that's the only three points you've got, it probably won't make much difference - speed cameras mean it's more and more common for people to have endorsements - although every insurance company is different.


I recommend getting quotes online: submit test versions with two identical sets of details, but one with the points and one without, as a good way of gauging what the points will do to your premiums.
