I had to change the headlight bulbs on both side recently, the most difficult job on a car I have come across due to the ridiculous design, however the inside of the headlights have now fogged up, any idea how to clear them, and what caused it

It looks like you have not done the difficult job properly.

Make sure the sealing caps over the bulbs are fitted correctly.

They should clear after you have used the heat from the bulbs for a while.

Are you sure you have locked the bulb holder in position correctly as if not the back of the light unit may not be sealed and moisture could be getting in.

I think most car manufacturers make it difficult to do such routine maintenance jobs on wear and tear items not covered under warranty on purpose now. This is in the hope many people will take the car to the dealer if the job is fiddly. New cars are so much more reliable and warranties so much better so income from repair charges are so much lower.
