i have a cd player in my vauxhall corsa and on my dashboard i have a wee clock that displays the time, date and temp. which is all displayed until i switch my radio on, any ideas whats wrong??

All Vauxhalls lose this display when a non Vauxhall Radio is fitted to the car.

I had similar problem with my son's Peugeot 106. His brother fitted the radio using the connector set for a 205, being assured by the salesperson that there was no difference. There was! A feed from the car lighting (usually used to dim the radio display) was earthed when the radio was switched on. You may have something similar. I don't know your level of competence for pulling the radio out and checking so post a reply with what you are happy doing and I'll try and help.
