Anyone know what the square button on the inside of the footwell/sill, to the rear of the drivers seat is for? I only noticed it when it was dark and the small 'picture' of a car on it was illuminated. Nothing happened inside or out when I pressed it. Any ideas?

On a ford that is where you will find the fuel pump reset button (it turns itself off in an accident) - maybe it is the same with VWs

Ah, maybe? It is practically over the fuel pump. Thanks.
NOW all you have to do is emulate Richard Hammond. When the inevitable happens, then push your button in and let us know if indeed it is the fuel re-set button.
