x3 or A3??

test drove an 2.0D X3 today but i never liked it, however its for the wife and she did and has made her mind up(i think)

tommorow we are testing an A3 tdi??

has anyone had either of these motors? can you tell me what you think?

2 very different cars! Is it the 2.0TDi A3 or the 1.9? If the former, she will love the urge from the motor - try it with the DSG gearbox and its even better. But, she's a woman and a BMW 4WD is probably irrestible to her!

went and had a look at both the 1.9 and 2.0 tdi?

they have offered us a right good deal on the 1.9 but am i selling myself short as i do love the look of the 2.0 tdi s line with 6speed box and lots of extras!

and yes your right, she is a woman who only does school runs and she is pining for the X3!! but i think its a bone!!

Ooh an X3 - well it is a 4x4 so will allow membership of the "i've got a big car but can't park it in normal spaces, so i'll take up 2 and sod everyone else" club.

On the down side - if you buy an X3, everyone will think that you really wanted an X5 and couldn't afford it.

Get the Audi!

good point well made daveed............. but people will see my 4ft 11 wife jump and i mean jump out of it and say, she didnt have an x5 because she aint big enough!

i am not sure about the audi, they look good and no doubt drive good but...............??

Ok, lets think outside of this box a bit. If you like the Audi, you'll like the Golf (same mechanicals). Might not have quite the image of the Audi but the GTi rocks. If image matters, what about a BMW 320d? I think its What Car's car of the year. Or if you're looking A3 size, you can look at the BMW 1 Series (very under-rated car). The 130i is a barnstormer.

Incidentally, my wife only buys BMWs and she only does school runs and things like that. But she didn't like the X3. Thought it unrefined and sluggish.

i wanted to look at a 320 d bmw but believe it or not the bmw salesman had the bit between his teeth and told me that the X3 was better and that was the car i was buying!!

obviously we didnt have anything from that gargage...

my step son has just had a 56 golf diesel tdi, nice motor,but its not for me ?

today i test drove an A3dr 1.9 tdi audi, it was perfect................................

today i have ordered my A3 1.9tdi audi....we are having the 5dr,but i dont care what comes,for the package the salesman gave me it wasnt worth looking at any other car!!

forgot to say...............we looked at the 1 series but i couldnt get in or out of it!! (must cut down on pies)!!!
