vaxhaul vectra,2ltr,s reg, handbrake works forward but not backwards, why and is there any cure, please.

Hi Sadle, It's a long time since I did any garage work, but it sound as though the brake shoes are seized onto the back plate and full of dust. Try stripping down and freeing off etc.
