What Does VTR mean?

I have just been looking online for a new car and have been recomended by a friend to buy a Saxo VTR does anyone know what VTR actually means? Is it a French sort of GTI??

It's just another sales gimic like GT, GTO.LX, sports, etc , etc.

cheers guys, all i could find was video tape recorder !!
I had a good look on the internet and I think you'll find mine is as close as it gets - it being French after all.

The other abbreviations do have meanings they're not gimics as such - they identify certain types of cars in a range - usually sportier/further up the model range i.e.

GT - Grand Tourer
LX - Lux eXtra
GLX - Grand Lux eXtra

Often they refer to the engine type - HDi etc All cars have a badge/name and also letters to describe exactly which model and engine a car has.
