hi everyone. nearly 4 years ago i was stupidly caught speeding by a radar gun in a 40 mph zone going 53mph which i do regret. But my question is i was given an sp30 surely i should have been given an sp40 as i was in a 40 zone if im right is to late to querie it or even appeal as it was nearly 4 years ago. I could really need your help on this as its affecting my future job as i am training to be a driving instructor many thanks

The code for your offence is sp30 the points are no longer valid after 3 years and come off your licence after 4 years.

I`m afraid you were given the correct sp....SP40 is for a passenger vehicle speeding. As you will be able to have it off your licence at 4 years it hopefully wont affect your career too much.

sp30 is just the code for a speeding offecnce. the 30 does not relate to the speed limit you were breaking.
