Radio CD

I have a cdr 500 radio cd in my vauxhall zafira - the cd will not eject - comes up with error cd
Any suggestions please

I have the same one, it too plays up a bit - try holding the eject button in until the disc comes out.

Have done that - still stuck - we pressed cd button where it came up with no cd so we placed a cd in the slot it plays ok but when you press eject cd it shows you what you have done and then it comes up with ERROR CD - took it to Vauxhall dealer it was going to cost over � 48.00 to send unit to vauxhall and another � 28.00 approx for the garage to take it out and fit it - rather expensive.

In that case you would save a lot of money by replacing it with a used unit from a breakers yard or the loot - (mine cost me �10 with the code supplied).
Fitting is easy, you buy stereo removal pins from motor world or similar (�2) they may even assist you in changing it.

Would you believe it - have kept on trying to eject cd - left it for a bit then tried again and hey presto it came out - wandering if it was just a bit of dust - tried other cd's and put the same one back in and it kept on coming out - thanks for your help
