Crazy driver
Several times on my way home from work (across town, so all local roads with parked cars & 30mph speed limit) I have had a mad person driving behind me. He drives in the middle of the road & is constantly looking for an opportunity to overtake. Is it worth getting his number & reporting him to the police? Would they actually do anything?

The money raised from tickets is paid to the exchequer and whilst the Police can claim money back to cover expenses they don't get more money the more tickets they hand out.

They're not however going to be too interested in rushing around to somebody's house accusing them of dangerous driving without some sort of evidence.

what car do you drive?
I wouldn't do anything. When someone drives like that I either move out to the middle of the road so they can't get past (if i think it would be dangerous for them to speed off) or i slow down to an incredibly irritating speed.
Driving a range rover helps as no one can see past me.
Also, don't flag them down. They could well be a thug who would slap you back.

The mentality of some drivers bites.
Happens everyday in the UK and very little will change it. Sometimes you can make them feel so very small. :) Was once driving a HUGE Mitsubishi L200 Double cab Pickup and a berk in his Vectra repmobile was riding my a*se in a contraflow so absolutely nowhere for me to go. If I'd braked sharp then I would have felt a slight nudge as his car folds under my rear axle. The best bit was the fact that while he was sat flashing behind me, expecting me to move in to the tiniest of gaps so he could move forward, ooo, about 10 feet in the traffic queue, he failed to notice the police car in front of me.
I managed to get into a space next to me, vectra boy floored it one and almost drove into the back of the police car that had stopped due to the traffic. Lights came on and he signalled him over. Wonder if the berk saw me laughing my head off as he had to make his way across the carriageway. :)

Just this very morning I had a BMW driver riding my butt trying to intimidate me into driving faster. I just eased off the throttle to further annoy him until he had ample opportunity to pass. Funnily enough, not 100 yds up the road there he was stuck in the 2nd lane as I cruised by in the 1st lane.
I don't know if it's just me but I can't help noticing that BMW drivers appear to believe they have more authority than anyone else on the road. They rarely indicate when changing lanes, instead they just drift from one lane to another, and you will hardly ever see a BMW in the 1st lane.
Next time you go on the Motorway just watch.

I agree totally xud - a BMW driver recently rear ended me while I was waiting in a queue of traffic to leave the motorway. I've always been wary of BMW drivers who seem to think they can drive and park exactly how they like and are above authority. The smug attitude of the guy who came over to 'apologise' has left me with a sour taste in my mouth and has not helped to think any better of BMW drivers.
