Does every country have
1. Yellow lines, as we do, for parking restrictions
2. Speed cameras
3. Wheel clampers
4. Points on licence as a punishment
5. Speed limits
Coz I just heard that in the Northern Territories in Aus they are only just setting about introducing speed limits ~ with much opposition from the majority of the locals.

The law read "...speed appropriate to conditions..." After just a couple of years the U.S. Government, which controls funding for highway building and repairs objected by threatening to limit funding so the law was withdrawn. During the time it was in place, however, very little change was noted in the overall accident rate. Montana, along with other mainly western states is unusual though, in it's vast distances of lightly trafficed four lane Interstate highways as well as well maintained State highways...
