I'm running XP Pro (32bit) on a Leadtek K8N series motherboard fitted with an AMD Athlon 64bit 3200+ CPU. The problem is that after re-installing XP, and all the drivers for my motherboard and graphics card, the LAN doesn't seem to work. I installed Speed Gear 2, from Leadtek, and when its starts it says that it cannot find a K8N series board. A bit wierd considering everything else seems to work okay. Leadtek offer a procedure for a LAN fix but its a BIOS setting that my more up-to-date BIOS doesn't have.
Anyone any ideas at all? Please.

Easiest thing would be to buy a network card. They don't cost much and it's easier (and safer) than updating your BIOS.

Go into your BIOS and see if there is a setting to say use the on-board lan.

Maybe this option has been turned off for some reason.

Also check on the drivers CD that there is not a separate driver for your LAN card.
