I have had a Forf Focus for about a month now, & have just noticed that when i use the car for the 1st time in the day, the revvs stay at about 1500 when i'm slowing down, & only completely drop when it comes to s standstill,

Is this a problem & if so, what do i do?

This sounds like engine management working for you. When engine is cold particularly on a pertrol engine, the engine revs need to be increased to keep engine delivering torque to enable you to move. When cold the engine doe not like to run smoothly and slowly so the revs are automatically increased for you. When temperature builds up, the engine management can let the revs return to normal.
