Insurance n tax

Good morning, I have just passed my driving test (yesterday) and next friday im going to insure and MOT my car (currently garaged). Sadly because i have to insure/MOT it on a friday this means i wont be able to tax it until Monday. What is the law on this? I know that driving without tax is an offence but is there a way i can get my insurance cover note through the next day (saturday)?
