Is it possible to to donate a car to charity in the UK?
Searches on Google seem to indicate that you can do this in the US but I haven't found a UK charity that I might donate to.
I have an old Toyota saloon that I still use (serviced, taxed, MOT) but I want to replace it with a smaller car. I'd only get a few hundred quid for it and it costs more to run each year than it's worth to be honest. I kind of like the idea of it having a second useful life in some third world country, rather than just sending it to the scrapyard.

how about e-baying it and giving the profit to charity?

That's certainly an option but I'd prefer if it went to someone who could actually benefit from using it, perhaps a charity worker out in the field in deepest Africa or somewhere.
cars worth 100 shipping costs 500 you work it out. nice thought though.
Hi
I work for Oxfam and we accept donations of roadworthy vehicles. The cars are sold and the money is then used to support our life saving work.
