Vauxhall Corsa Noise When Braking

Hi, anyone help? I have a 1995 1.2 corsa 5dr and when I brake there is a cracking/clicking sound from front suspension/steering. It is so loud i thought it would be easy to find, no such luck, I have replace the o/s/f lower ball joint and track rod end which had split gaiters - noise still there? anyone had similar problems.
