Why won't my vectra tick over when the engine temperature goes over 80 degrees celseus? I'ts had an engine diagnosis and I was told there's nothing wrong with it!

Try a new crankshaft position sensor usually breakdown when they get hot and car will not start
Sounds like a faulty sensor giving the wrong information to the management system - would hazard a guess as it is temp. related it is the engine temperature sensor - I think the diagnosis will only tell if the sensor is not working at all not just giving the wrong info.
Someone else correct me if I'm wrong.
