I don't often venture into 'Motoring', so be gentle with me... ;o)

I was wondering if any of you lovely people might be able to point me in the right direction of where I'd be able to find very detailed road/street maps, please? It's actually of a motorway and it needs to be so detailed that the lanes of the road are included. Is that pushing it a bit?

Maybe not even a map, but just drawings of parts of the road? I apologise if I'm not making much sense.

Thanks so much in advance if anyone can help :o) x

Try multimap.......think the website is www.multiweb.com but if you google multimap you should get there.

Have you downloaded google earth? Great fun ...
I've never seen a commercial map with that detail. Only used to get them when I used to build roads and had the 'white lining' drawing to know where to put all the arrows etc. What do you want it for Sheri and maybe I can help. Is it just a general query or of a specific place?
Find it on google maps, zoom right in and click satellite in the top right. You will get an aerial photo showing detail such as lane markings.

Different parts of the country have photos of varying quality, but much of the country is shown in superb detail.

My guess is you are looking for this following an accident. You can't do much better than a photo of the road, but the photo might be a few years old so it is possible that the layout could have been changed.

Thank you all for your replies! You're so helpful! :o)

I didn't think to try Google Earth, Annlinda, it was just what I was looking for. Thank you.

Yep, P.B, you're right: I need it following an accident.

Thanks again for all your help, ws x
Go to your local Shell garage and they will probably have a stand with "phillips" maps on for your specific area. They are red and blue in colour and are very detailed, but don't cover a huge area(buy more maps) and are about ten pounds each.
