My passenger door wont open from the outside! It will lock and open from the inside, but when i go to lift handle on out side, nothing? I have stripped panel off, been to dealers and they couldnt see what was wrong, came home, stripped drivers side door, the rods and every thing look identical, checked latch, the doors not dropped, nothing wrong with the out side handle, any ideas? Also would this be a fail on MOT?

I'm a bit surprised a dealer couldn't find what is wrong, have you tried lifting the rod that links the handle to the lock from inside with the door panel removed?
If it still won't open I guess you'll need a new lock.
Yes it will fail the MOT, both front doors (driver's and front passenger door) must open from the inside and the outside.
