Mixer Tap/Shower repair

We have a mixer tap, which also has a pipe coming out of it to the shower. On one side is the volume control, on the other the temperature gauge. The temperture tap is stuck...clogged with limescale maybe? Needs a new washer maybe? Any ideas or advice on how I take this thing apart? Has anyone done it and reassembled with no problems? Or should I call a plumber?

'Volume control' ? Believe me, you need to call a plumber.

thanks fpr your facetious answer Dicky however this tap does control the volume of water. Whilst I welcome a humorous answer it is usual protocol to at least restrain yourself until a genuine answer has been made. I will close this question now and repost.
