There was talk about having the MOT done every 2 years. What happened to this idea?

The Davidson Review of the implementation of EU legislation issued its final report 28th November 2006.

Neil, Lord Davidson QC concluded that UK authorities should consult during Spring 2007 on reducing MOT test frequency for passenger cars towards EU minimum requirements (every 2 years for vehicles over 4 years-old) to simplify existing legislation balanced against potential safety implications.

I presume the consultation has not yet ended.
The French have their MOT (CT) test two yearly.
yes but the french have a decent roads network, unlike the shyte roads in this country.
