The light in the door which acts as a warning to motorists, the alarm that says the door is open and the part of the illuminated picture on the dash display that shows the drivers door to be open have all packed in. Any ideas... fuse or loose connection, worth getting it looked at?
no i would say its probably just the door switch is it all the doors or just the drivers?,if its a real high miler it can be the repeated opening and shutting fatigues the wire as it goes through the door and usually you can spot the break as it passes through the rubber bellow between the door and the body
Just the drivers door. Only done 39k, but I am in and out all the time due to my job. I was going to unhook the rubber boot to take a look but not confident I'd get it back on...
check out the area where the cable passes between the dor and body ,odds on the break in the cable is there if not its the door switch (both jobs are a doddle by the way dont let anyone tell you othrwise!)
Where's the switch - under the rubber boot attatched to the body/door? Can you repair the cable as you would any electric cable, ie cut, twist back together and insulate?
