Clutch Problem
I have a Ford Ka and I have found every Monday when I leave for work the clutch pedal goes to nothing and I have to keep pumping the pedal and then it seems o.k.

judgeing by the symtoms you discribe it sounds like there
must be some air got into the systom,or possibly it could be that it is a faulty clutch slave cylinder.try bleeding the hydraulic system on the clutch first and then if the fault is still there then suspect it is a faulty slave cylinder.

I have been informed by the garage that it is the Hydraulic Release Bearing thats at fault, could the garage have found this out just by looking underneath the car? I took the car into the same garage last week with the clutch fault and came out with all my brakes & cyclinders renewed, as the brake warning light kept coming on and off. But I still have my clutch problem but only when it has been a freezing cold night and has not been driven over the weekend. I have absolutely no knowledge of the mechanics of a car.

most modern cars use the same hydraulic circuit to operate both the brakes and clutch, it could be that it has not been bled properly, i know with the skoda octavias we used to work on that you could manually bleed the brakes by pumping the pedal but the clutch had to be bled using a vacuum bleeder!!!
