did you have this problem before you changed the plugs, filter ect..?

bit of a longshot but it could be that the petrol pump is underperforming, thus at high revs it is not delivering enough petrol to the injectors

hi cazz I never thought of that one thanks, yes I did have the problem befor all the plugs etc xx
i had an astra which had a problem that sounded similar - it was the ht leads
I assumed he had the ht leads done along with the plugs, filter ect
Question Author
hiya on my astra I have electronic ignition no ht leads
what carries the power to the spark plugs?
LT wires carry the power to the coils which then generate HT to the plugs.

New filter and oil will not have any effect on making the engine stop misfiring, don't know what the etc is though.
it has one single coil which feeds all 4 plugs. ht leads havent been fitted to 90/95% of cars for a few years as most cars are now electronically controlled
