Green Flag are as good as any.
I can definitely recommend Green Flag. The biggest benefit is that they use garages or breakdown firms near to where you have broken down. This means they have local knowledge, and find you much quicker. Green Flag have come to my rescue several times before I changed my car recently. Each time they text you shortly after you have reported your problem, letting you know which firm is on their way, and approx how long they will be. My best experience was when my car lost power in a small Cotswold village late last year - in driving rain though that was not the cause. I contemplated a long tow home, but the firm that attended quickly diagnosed the cause - a faulty coil, and being local, they knew of a car spares place nearby - and it was open on a Sunday!! which for a backwater place was amazing. I was back on the road in less than an hour of reporting the problem!! Go for Green Flag I would say.

Thank you both for taking the time to reply.
We tow a caravan and tried to join the RAC, but they would only take the car to a garage and not the caravan, Green flag would take both so we joined green flag. We have only called them out once and they came in 20 mins.
see if your insurers offer a breakdown cover.

I paid 40 to adrian flux insurance and i get home start andf relay.

they use whatever recovery firm is near and have turned out twice to me, the first time towing me from Isle of Wight to Norfolk and they paid the 160 cost of ferry too.
