I have a 2004 vectra. Recently i have had a front road spring and both track rod ends replaced . Im certain its down to the speed bumps i have to go over every day. Has anyone had the same problem? Cheers

yes i have had the same problem on a corsa, had to replaces all 4 coil springs in the last year plus on track rod end, the rear coil springs are a common problem breaking on the corsa anyway though
Hi, you may think this is a stupid comment but I have noticed of late the amount of people saying the same thing, I would check the height of the ramps you go over and see if they are the legal hight, I have just replaced one on the rear of my wfes car as that had broken and contacted Peugeot UK explained the problem, they reinbursed me with the cost, And before anyone comments the height was checked on the car after replacing the spring the height was the same each side on a level area.
I heard that all European built cars have this weakness because they manufacture the springs cheaply and do not cap them correctly (I forget exactly in what way), However japanese manufacturers do it properly and theirs last the milage. I agree, speed bumps won't help the matter though.
